Rooted deeply in the traditions of ancestry and earth practices Nazdira carries a legacy grounded in tradition and mystique. From a small town in Morelos, Mexico, Nazdira moved to the US with her mother at the tender age of 9. Raised by her great-grandparents and grandparents, she began calling the lands of the Kumeyaay Territory her home. The lands in which she still calls home after almost 30 years.
Nazdira’s journey into herbalism over the past nine years represents more than just learning – it’s a deep communion with the natural world, learning directly from the plants and ancestors. An ever evolving and ever expanding relationship that continues to grow.
As community herbalist, land tender and woman Nazdira cultivates community relationship, and medicine making with profound reverence and gratitude. It is from this place that Nazdira embarks on a lifelong journey, honoring the sacred in every step.
